I tried reinstalling a sound card, but that didn't help. Diskeeper was still messed up, so I uninstalled and reinstalled and it is now working and looking fine, but the computer is hesitant and when I play music it is garbled. So I defragged again, cleaned my temp files, compressed files, etc. While rebooting the Windows chime was garbled.had not been that way before. I rebooted and it took at least several minutes and brought up a different Microsoft box and then switched to the regular one. I did, but something was not right with Diskeeper.the schedule section was greyed out and normally it is not. So I went to defrag with Diskeeper 2009 home edition. ![]() I got everything closed, but it was still slow. So I waited for the computer to chill and then started closing everything. I tried closing some things but it was slow. Then it bogged down, but the music kept playing. I went to YouTube and started to watch a video (music) and then I either tried to pause the video, X out of the browser tab or bring up the Word document I had open. I had Outlook 2003, Firefox, iTunes and a Word document open. Garbled sound(this includes during start up, playing music), but not in all cases Computer: Laptop with XP Pro and all service packs and updates.ġ.
